Gemini watermark cleaning

Clean Gemini watermarks from images

A Google Gemini image can carry three separate marks: a visible sparkle, a hidden pixel marker, and an embedded metadata stack. RAIW removes all three layers of identification.

Quick clean is free with Standard output up to 12 MP. Keeping the original resolution above that size requires paid processing.

The three layers of a Gemini image

When you generate an image with Google Gemini, it contains a specific stack of markers:

  • Visible sparkle logomark: A semi-transparent overlay placed in the corner of the image.
  • Hidden SynthID marker: An invisible pixel pattern designed to survive cropping and compression.
  • Embedded Metadata: C2PA Content Credentials and EXIF tags noting the AI origin.

How to clean the image completely

To address all three layers, we recommend the All-in-one mode on the homepage.

It erases the visible sparkle first. Then it uses a cloud GPU to disrupt the hidden SynthID pattern while preserving visual fidelity. Finally it strips the file metadata, leaving you with a clean image.

Processing modes and privacy

Depending on what you choose:

  • All-in-one mode (From $1.49): Required if you want to also disrupt the hidden SynthID marker. This requires our secure cloud GPU. Uploaded images and results currently have no automatic expiry; see the Privacy Policy for deletion requests.

Frequently asked questions

How does visible sparkle removal work?
Quick clean automatically locates the Gemini sparkle and reconstructs its detected footprint with a learned inpainting model. It runs on our backend and changes that region only when the supported mark is detected.
Why does hidden marker removal require All-in-one?
Disrupting an invisible watermark like SynthID requires heavy AI generation (diffusion) to reconstruct the pixels without the marker. This computation necessitates a cloud GPU.
What makes Gemini's metadata unique?
Gemini images often come with a heavy stack of provenance data, including C2PA credentials and XMP tags. RAIW identifies these specific AI stamps and strips them from the file header.
Which mode should I choose?
Choose Quick clean for supported visible marks and AI-provenance metadata. Choose All-in-one when you also want to target supported invisible pixel watermarks such as SynthID. All-in-one regenerates pixels, so fine details may change and third-party detection outcomes are not guaranteed.
