Privacy Policy

Overview

RAIW (raiw.cc) is an experimental image-processing service with free and paid processing options. It is operated by Victor Kuznetsov. This policy explains what we collect and how we handle it. Questions? Email kuznetsov.va@gmail.com.

Your images

When you upload an image we process it to provide the service. We may retain uploaded originals for research and service improvement, ordinarily for at least 12 months. Archived results are subject to a 90-day automatic expiry rule. Applicable deletion rights and legal obligations may require a different period. We never sell your images, and we share them only with the service providers listed below. For paid invisible-watermark removal the image is sent to our GPU processor (Modal) for the regeneration pass.

Chrome extension images

Images you submit through the RAIW Chrome extension are used to provide or improve its disclosed image-processing function and related security and reliability operations. Research on retained extension originals is automated; we do not manually inspect them for research. Our use of data received through the extension follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

What we collect

• Your uploaded image and the processed result we generate from it - retained as described above.
• A diagnostic record for an image check: a generated identifier, source filename, dimensions, country and locale, which page on our site you started from, library version, whether faces were detected, and the AI-provenance verdict and signals found. This record does not contain the image itself but can be linked to a retained image by its identifier.
• A cryptographic fingerprint of each processed result, retained with our research and service-improvement corpus. It is not checked during the initial image analysis.
• Feedback you choose to submit after processing: the score, processing mode, generated file identifier, country and locale, library version, and any optional comment you write.
• For paid processing, transaction identifiers, payment amount and status, processing-credit information, and billing contact details supplied through Stripe, such as an email address.
• The Chrome extension stores a paid session ID, remaining processing credits, image-check and in-flight task records locally. For an unfinished checkout, it also stores the source page URL locally to return to the selected image. An abandoned checkout can leave that URL stored until a later checkout replaces it or the extension is removed.
• Basic server logs, including your IP address, used for security, abuse and rate-limiting, and to show local pricing.
• Your analytics-cookie choice, stored in a first-party cookie.
• Optional usage analytics via Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager only after consent.
• Production error and performance diagnostics sent to Sentry, which may include IP address, approximate location, browser, device, and request context.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager load only after you accept analytics cookies. Your choice is stored in the raiw_analytics_consent cookie for one year; if you accept, Google may set _ga cookies. You can withdraw analytics consent using the button below; it clears existing first-party _ga cookies and reloads the page without analytics. Declining does not affect image processing. We run no advertising or cross-device tracking.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not receive your full card number. We receive payment status and transaction details needed to provide processing credits, handle refunds, prevent fraud, and keep payment records; Stripe may also provide billing contact details, including your email address. Stripe may set its own cookies; see Stripe's privacy policy for details.

No accounts

RAIW requires no account. Images, comments, billing details, and technical records can nevertheless contain personal information about you or other people.

Data retention

We retain uploaded originals for research and service improvement. When retained, we ordinarily keep an original for at least 12 months from upload, unless an applicable deletion right or legal obligation requires earlier deletion. We do not automatically delete originals after 12 months; absent a valid deletion request or a legal duty to delete sooner, they may remain stored indefinitely. We retain produced results mainly to investigate user-reported problems. Archived result images become eligible for automatic deletion 90 days after storage; the storage provider may complete deletion later. If you report a problem later, we may ask you to provide your copy of the result. A specific result may be preserved longer when required for a pending legal claim. Processed-result fingerprints, diagnostic image-check records, and submitted feedback have no automatic expiry; we keep them until no longer needed or in response to a valid deletion request we can identify. Processed-result fingerprints are not checked during the initial image analysis. Server logs (including IP address) are kept only as long as needed for security, abuse prevention, and rate-limiting. Our Google Analytics event and user data retention setting is 14 months. Payment records may be kept as needed for refunds, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.

International data transfers

Uploaded images and results stored by DigitalOcean are held in its United States SFO3 region. Modal, Stripe, Google, Sentry, Cloudflare, and DigitalOcean may process relevant data in the United States and other countries. If you live elsewhere, your data may be transferred outside your country. This notice does not replace any transfer safeguards required by applicable law.

Your rights

RAIW has no user accounts, so locating a record may require information such as the generated file identifier, submission date, filename, or feedback details. We do not sell your personal information. For access, deletion, correction, portability, objection, restriction, withdrawal of analytics consent, or another request under applicable law, including the GDPR (EEA/UK) or the CCPA/CPRA (California), email kuznetsov.va@gmail.com. We may need to verify that the request relates to your data and may retain information when the law requires or permits it. You may also complain to your local privacy regulator where applicable.

Children

RAIW is intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children. If you believe a child has used the service, contact us.

People in images

Some images may show people. The image-processing pipeline may detect whether faces are present and store that yes-or-no finding. We do not perform facial recognition or biometric identification. Images follow the retention and deletion-request terms described above.
