Remove AI signals from Etsy product images

Etsy's detection reads three types of signals from uploaded files:

• C2PA Content Credentials - the primary trigger; most AI image generators embed these.
• IPTC digitalSourceType - an XMP field marking the image as algorithmically created.
• Perceptual hash matching - Etsy may compare images against a database of known AI-generated output.

RAIW removes the first two. Perceptual hash comparison operates on image content, which metadata removal alone does not change.

AI-generated images on Etsy must be labeled, and Etsy's automated detection can apply that label based on metadata alone. Sellers creating composite work — where AI was used for one element but the final product is substantially their own — may want to remove the automatic metadata signals and rely on manual disclosure decisions instead.

RAIW strips the C2PA Content Credentials manifest, the IPTC digitalSourceType field, and other AI-provenance metadata fields from the image file. The image's pixels are unchanged in the free mode; the paid All-in-one mode also regenerates the pixel layer to disrupt invisible watermarks.
