Remove the TikTok AI label from images
TikTok labels AI-generated images using C2PA Content Credentials, IPTC metadata, and China AIGC standards (TC260). RAIW strips all of these signals, removing the label in many cases — free.
What triggers TikTok's AI label
TikTok checks for multiple signals, which vary by region:
- C2PA Content Credentials - the primary international standard, embedded by most AI generators.
- IPTC
digitalSourceType- marks AI-generated or AI-edited images. - China AIGC metadata - TC260 / SAIS standard fields used on images from Chinese AI platforms (Doubao, Jimeng, etc.).
- Pixel-level detection - TikTok also runs visual analysis, particularly for face and voice synthesis.
What RAIW removes
RAIW strips C2PA Content Credentials, IPTC AI fields, and China AIGC metadata — all the metadata-layer triggers. It also removes the visible watermark text from Doubao and Jimeng images (free). The pixel-level visual analysis is a closed system RAIW cannot disable.

Frequently asked questions
- Does removing the metadata always remove the TikTok label?
- Often. C2PA, IPTC, and AIGC metadata are the primary triggers for most AI-generated images, and RAIW strips them. TikTok also runs visual detection for faces and voices; that system operates independently of metadata.
- What about images from Doubao or Jimeng (ByteDance tools)?
- RAIW removes both the visible watermark text and the AIGC metadata from Doubao and Jimeng images. See the dedicated pages for details.
- Is it free?
- Removing metadata and visible watermarks is completely free. The paid All-in-one mode adds pixel-level invisible watermark disruption.
- What image formats?
- PNG, JPEG, and WebP.
No signup required. Visible and metadata removal always free. GPU modes cost $1.49 per image. Supports PNG, JPG, and WebP.
