Meta Muse Content Seal removal

Remove the Meta Muse Content Seal from images

Meta Muse Image stamps every generated picture with Content Seal, an invisible pixel watermark that carries no visible mark. RAIW removes it with All-in-one regeneration.

Quick clean is free with Standard output up to 12 MP. Keeping the original resolution above that size requires paid processing.

One seal, two traces

Deleting the metadata alone leaves the seal in the pixels. All-in-one regenerates the image to disrupt the seal, then strips the tag.

XMP companion tag

The standard AI digital-source tag ships beside the seal. Platforms read it to display an AI label.

Invisible Content Seal

The pixel watermark itself. It has no public decoder, survives resizing and recompression, and carries a per-generation identifier.

Regenerated

How RAIW removes the Content Seal

Upload the original Muse file. The checker reads the companion tag, and the paid pipeline automatically selects the measured Content Seal strength, so the regeneration clears the seal without over-processing the picture.

The seal has no public decoder anywhere, so it cannot be displayed, only removed. After processing, verify the result with Meta's identification tool, which reports the watermark verdict separately.

What the seal survives

The Content Seal survives resizing, JPEG recompression, and metadata stripping, so re-saving or re-exporting the file does not remove it.

Cutting away a third to a half of the frame can destroy the seal, but that destroys the composition too. Smaller crops leave it in place, which makes regeneration the reliable path.

Which images carry it

Content Seal ships on every output of Muse Image (muse-image-1.0), the Meta Superintelligence Labs generator released in July 2026.

It is not the same as the legacy "Imagined with AI" corner label from Meta's earlier image tools; that is a visible mark, not a pixel watermark.

Processing and privacy

Removing the Content Seal requires GPU regeneration and can take several minutes.

  • Removal: The invisible seal and the AI metadata tag are removed together.
  • Cost: From $1.49 per image.
  • Privacy: Uploaded images and results currently have no automatic expiry. We retain them until they are no longer needed or we receive a valid deletion request that identifies them. We never sell them.

Frequently asked questions

Can the free checker show the Content Seal?
No. The seal has no public decoder, so no local tool can display it. The free checker sees the AI digital-source tag that ships beside it, which is how Muse files are recognized and routed.
Does Quick clean remove the Content Seal?
No. Quick clean removes metadata, including the companion tag. The seal lives in the image pixels, so clearing it requires All-in-one regeneration.
How can I verify the seal is gone?
Meta's identification tool at meta.ai/identification accepts an image without login and reports the watermark verdict separately. The paid result links to it.
Will the image quality change?
Removing an invisible pixel watermark requires rebuilding the image, so small differences are normal. The first stage uses edge guidance to preserve composition and structure; a second face-restoration stage reduces identity drift. Fine text and facial details can still change, and no tool can guarantee removal against a closed, evolving detector.
What if the file has no metadata left?
A stripped Muse file reads as no-signal to the checker. Re-download the original from the generator when possible; All-in-one regeneration remains available as a deliberate choice on the no-signal screen.
